How To Make Placer Work For You


As you are probably aware Placer is a way for hosts to get discounted and free products from some of the biggest brands. We are also increasing the ways for hosts to make additional income from their listings by expanding the ways they can work with brands both multinational and local. 

These brands work with Placer because they recognise the value that hosts can bring to their marketing activity through product placement and promotion on social media. 

Welcome pages and QR codes in listings allow guests to find out more about brands products and purchase if they like, and are an instrumental part of why brands work with Placer.

The best way to encourage more brands to work with the community is to demonstrate this value to the brands by ensuring that if you are on a campaign, you are using the welcome pages and ensuring you place the QR codes in a prominent position for guests. 

The more welcome page clicks, QR code scans, and ultimately sales generated for brands that use Placer, the more free and discounted products they will place with the community.

So if you are on a placement campaign please make sure you are sending your welcome page to all guests, and placing the QR code in a position where guests can easily find and interact with it. This way you increase the chances brands will want to work with the community in the future.

What Is A Placement Campaign?

Placer is a site where short stay hosts can get free and discounted products from all manner of brands: large, growing, international and local. Brands want to reach guests in beautiful environments and so are willing to discount their products or even provide them for free.  So how does this work on Placer? Offers are where a brand offers a discount to hosts on their products, usually through a code obtained through the Placer website. Discounts range from 15% - 40% currently but more brands will be adding more discounts in the coming months that may be even more significant. Placement campaigns are where products are usually offered for free or at an even deeper discount than offers.
