KeyNest Key Storage

This is a guest blog post from our partners at KeyNest.

With your Placer products providing the perfect guest experience in your property, all you need now is a simple and secure way to give your guests property access.

That’s where our KeyNest Stores come in.

Founded in 2016 by Airbnb hosts Marc and Florian, KeyNest benefits both hosts and guests by providing a key storage solution that enables remote property access. Typically newsagents or cafes with long opening hours, KeyNest Stores can now be found in fifteen different countries, and there are almost 4000 worldwide. In fact, since 2016, our shopkeepers have securely held and handed over the keys for over 2 million customers - making them the #1 key holding solution worldwide.

How do KeyNest Stores work?

  1. Find your KeyNest Store

Sign-up on our website and choose from thousands of local KeyNest Stores. Once you’ve added your key, we’ll give you all the information you need to drop it off at your selected store. And when you arrive at the store, a trained shopkeeper will attach a KeyNest smart fob, and then store your key securely and anonymously.

  1. Share the collection code with your guest

When it’s time for your guest to collect the key, just make sure you’ve shared the 6-digit collection code with them, as well as the location of the KeyNest Store. When they arrive, our shopkeeper will welcome them, check their code, and hand over the keys.

  1. Easily keep track of your keys

Sit back and relax - we’ll send you a notification every time your keys are picked up or dropped off, and you can even check the online portal for added peace of mind. Guests simply need to drop the keys back in the KeyNest Store when they’ve checked-out - and then you can generate a new collection code whenever a new guest arrives.
